Recognizing the value created for our clients and our firm, Alex Gilmore became a partner at FPS&S in January of 2024. Mr. Gilmore joined our Overland Park office at the start of 2022. He has been practicing since 2016. Alex is involved in the community previously serving as a board member and president of a local non-profit supporting the arts. He earned his J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Kansas.
Alex enjoys a broad general practice. His litigation practice includes representing clients in state and federal court, with particular focus on municipal governments where he regularly defends civil rights claims and employment disputes. He also represents small and mid-size businesses in Kansas and Missouri. Alex also litigates residential and commercial real estate disputes.
Alex also represents clients in numerous transactional settings. He represents clients in various commercial real estate transactions. He is also experienced in estate planning and probate administration. Alex also enjoys serving as outside counsel for a number of small and mid-size local businesses, advising them on corporate governance, asset and stock purchases, corporate buyouts, business formation and structuring, contracts, succession planning and general business matters.
