Mr. Cooper joined Fisher Patterson in 1996 after serving two years as research attorney to the Honorable Robert J. Lewis, Jr., of the Kansas Court of Appeals. Mr. Cooper’s practice focuses on litigation of governmental liability, civil and constitutional rights, and employment matters. Mr. Cooper has presented on issues including legal ethics, law enforcement training and liability, laws on open records and meetings, governmental liability & immunities, and civil rights & employment litigation. Mr. Cooper is presently a member of the Kansas Board of Law Examiners (appointed in 2014), is a Past-President of the Kansas Association of Defense Counsel and serves as adjunct faculty for the Washburn University School of Law Trial Advocacy Program.
