Mr. Smith is a mediator approved by the Kansas Supreme Court, and is on the Missouri List of Dispute Resolution Neutrals. He has mediated civil cases including business, commercial, civil rights, employment, contracts, insurance, medical malpractice, professional liability, condemnation, personal injury, probate and trust, real estate, vehicular accidents and product liability.
Mr. Smith has over 45 years of trial and litigation experience in product liability, vehicular accident, medical, pharmacy and legal malpractice, business, real estate, construction, city and municipal liability and business law cases in state and federal courts. He has spoken on areas of mediation, pharmacy, legal malpractice and medical malpractice law, discovery and trial practice at various legal seminars. Mr. Smith served on and chaired numerous Kansas Bar Association committees and has presented KBA positions on legislative matters to the Kansas Legislature.
He is past chairman of the Legislation Committee of United States Swimming and past chairman of Missouri Valley Swimming. He served on the board of directors and the advisory board of Florence Crittenton Services of Topeka.
